Primal Audio FM4 Kick drums - haQ MP 18 & 19 (two videos)
FM4 by Primal Audio is an awesome synthesizer. I love how the developers have made FM4 kickdrum-friendly, by simply adding a pitch envelope onto the GUI. This makes it very easy to make drums.
In the first video am making some basic kickdrum settings. Basically one FM operator with some minor amplitude and pitch envelope settings.
In the second video am using two FM operators. The first operator is used for making the character-sound. But then the drum sounds thin and a bit flat. So The second FM operator is used for giving the Kick drum some punch in the form of sub frequencies.
