Hey I'm new here

Hey I just got Audiobus and I'm not sure what some good starter apps are. I'm brand new to making music on my Ipad, and in general. Any Ideas for a newb?

Garageband would be a good start for output slot, maybe Jamup for effects slot if you play guitar, and Guitarism in input slot if you do or don't play guitar, and for a variety of input sounds I would suggest Sampletank. I'm sure some of these other guys on the forum will help out also. There's so many choices. Oh, and for a synth Alchemy.

    This.

  • ThumbJam gives a lot of bang for the buck and some good "all around" sounds

  • I'd take a look at the videos that have been posted over at iOS MARS and see what takes your fancy.

  • Hi Welcome to the Bus! Grab a seat and enjoy the ride, you'll like it here!

  • Nanostudio is a great start. Beatmaker is pretty in depth and should give you everything you need for now. You should go back into the previous post's and watch how Audiobus unfolded!

  • Thank you all! I'm interested in both classical and electronic music. I'll go check the videos now!

If you are new to making music in general, thumbjam and GarageBand.

  • Checkout thumbjam and gestrument for the classical stuff.

  • I'm also looking for help with actually composing songs, and I have no experience at it

  • Check out Chordbot, it will give you a nice feel for composing and getting ideas. I use Beatmaker 2 for all styles of music.
