  • Nanostudio. But I doubt it will happen with NS1 somehow :-( oh well let's hope for NS2 then....

All of them of course! In terms of priority Auria Pro then the Sugar Bytes crew.

  • Anything apps that generates rhythm or beats & generates a Midi Pulse. Funkbox, dm1, sugar bytes apps, Rebirth, all Apreggiator apps, DrumJam, Diode 101, groove boxes. The whole shebang!

    This.

Sector by Kymatica is high up on my wish list...

  • Samplr, Sector, Turnado, Wow, Xynthesizer. For starters.

  • Cubasis and Auria for starters :) both have requested SDK

    The best thing ever
It's simple, all apps that have a sequencer, arp, tape player/recorder, anything that is time based...

But first of all....the sequencers...would be nice

I'm actually looking forward to DrumJam and DJay2 the most.

Also Genome and StepPolyArp. Maybe Turnado and Effectrix too.

It's gonna be different for different people but the real beauty of Link is the ability to live jam apps together and have them sound spot on. That's when you need clock sync to be absolutely rock solid.

When you are laying a track piece by piece I find it doesn't matter so much because you can always adjust afterwards.

I'm just thinking about what I actually do really love playing live with and its those apps.

Plus mostly the ones that are already Link (such a great set already)...

    Patterning
    Gadget
    IElectribe
    Fugue
    Elastic Drums
    IKaosilator

Are some of my favourite apps full stop, and especially for Iive play. They all have fantastic ad lib jamming capabilities.

  • Hopefully everyone will climb aboard the Link express. But other ones I can think of include:

Samplr, Attack, Stroke Machine, Impaktor, Egoist (yeah all sugar bytes apps), iMS-20, soundscaper, Fieldscaper, midisteps, Seekbeats, Flux, Audulus,

I think it will benefit developers to include Link support. I think Link supported apps will sell much more.

  • Agree.

    Does Bassline send midi out?

Otherwise so far it's just Fugue that sends midi out. Could do with a few more (multi channel) sequencers (ModStep?). Then we're really away.

Genone would be amazing with Link I think. Totally the 'midi brain' that also allows you to change things up live. To some extent it can already do this. But syncing it with one or two drum machines would be amazing.

I'd also really love Animoog to get Linked up for its tempo. Just because... Animoog.

  • I need to properly explore Link plus AB remote. There's a big crossover in apps there. (Patterning, ED etc). Could make for a killer live set up.

  • DrumJaming or Bassline squelching to a live DJay2 set could be pretty fun.

  • I want a $30 slim guitar pedal sized piece of hardware that is a wifi generator, has MIDI in and out connectors, and supports LINK. It will serve as a dedicated LINK<->MIDI clock translator and dedicated WIFI network.

Or the next rev of the Beatstep Pro.

  • Midiflow, I hope that gets Link then we should be able to connect lots of other non link stuff easily.

So now the big question is when can we record these epic multitrack Link jams/overdubs on iOS without having to noodle the timing of audio tracks?

  • I'd happily add midiSTEPs to the list as the just released version is also one of the very few AU host available :)

Link is amazing not only to play live but also for Auria, BM, Caustic, Cubasis.etc.
    Edit: +1 for Samplr

    Yes=1; while Yes { Yes=Yes+1; }

  • iMaschine, Magellan, Addictive Synth, SampleTank...,

  • Yeah any app with a sequencing, arp or rhythmic element will quickly fall behind the pack without Link now. Personally next up I'd like to see a synth with decent groove capability via it's syncable arps, envelopes, lfos and FX . Any of the Virsyn synths come to mind. Addictive, Cube, Tera. Poseidon.....

  • Rock drum machine, funk drum machine!

    working on it :)

  • I know it wasn't mentioned, but I am working on adding Link to Glitchbreaks :)

  • Oh, it was mentioned! Everything with a clock! Thanks @distraub

  • Link in Glitchbreaks blew my mind just thinking about it! Anxious for awesomeness.

  • Link for glitchbreaks is actually awesome, the app will be suddenly really useful in a live context

  • Samplr and egoist.. Yes please

  • Modstep just announced on Facebook that they just got their link developer pack from ableton

  • 2x samplr linked to gadget and ableton.. Then I have no excuses not to make music
