Telepathy iOS 9 Audio Connection Bug
I ended up with this "Audio connection" bug on the home screen of my iPad Air 2, iOS 9.2 and I hadn't even used Telepathy for quite awhile. Doing a reset didn't get rid of it either, it only went away after I turned the iPad off and then on. Does anyone know what the source of this bug is? If I tapped on the message, it launched the Telepathy app and it still remained even after I closed out Telepathy. WTF?! Apple.

After installing Telepathy on my iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.2, I had shut off the iPad and the next morning I was using Fugue Machine and Synthmaster player. When I went to switch between the apps, I noticed there was an icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen for Telepathy audio. I closed out all of the running apps and the Telepathy audio was still there. From the home screen I tried holding the power button until I got the slide to turn off message, and then I held down on the home button until it returned me to the home screen and Telepathy audio was still there. I did a restart by holding down the power button and the home button, followed by shutting off the iPad Air 2 completely before even entering my access code after it came back up from the restart. Once I powered it back on, the Telepathy audio was gone. I have decide to remove Telepathy until I Votan tries to resolve the issue as I haven't had this problem with any other apps.
I have got that with lots of different apps ( mainly the music app, YouTube and the video app but also GarageBand, MTS, cubasis, etc, even an alarm app at some point), is it a bug?, I just assume it's a shortcut to the audio app you are using the most within a certain period of time, I suspect it's mainly made for the music app (the main audio app a non musician would use) so you don't have to look for it assuming you have lots of apps in the background. It's not like it's active isn't it? You have to pull it to do that. It's just speculation haven't bother to find out the real reason it's there or if you can get rid of it.
@Lacm1993 if you click on the icon it will open up the app and whatever it was connected to while using it. I haven't seen this with any other app. It wouldn't concern me if that were the only effect it had. I can use other apps and it has a serious CPU hit, in some apps I can see the CPU usage is increased by 20% which means setups that would normally work well start struggling and glitching. Removing Telepathy eliminates the problem for me. The icon only appears when you double tap the home button to see what apps are open. It's appearance isn't consistent and seems to creep in somehow as I can open and close apps, IAA, Audiobus, and even turn off the iPad, and it can be days later before the Telepathy icon appears; nevertheless, it can start to impact the performance of other apps long before that as it ties up resources on iOS.
Telepathy was far from being an app I used frequently so there's no reason I know of why it should appear when other apps don't if it's some sort of function of how often you use apps.
Maybe there is something weird going on with it and music apps, as I said Apple must have made that feature as a fast access for the music app, YouTube, videos and don't think about the problems it would bring regarding music apps. Have it with lots of apps but it's not really consistent as you said. Haven't notice any performance problems (but I don't have telepathy)
That's strange, I've not seen that but Telepathy is in need of an update on several things. Including audio coming out of headphone jack only sometimes when switching to the app. Also quite glitchy when in background mode especially. But I really like that sounds it can make so hope it gets the love it needs.... It's hard to be productive with it in it's current state.
Weird, I've never seen anything like that
It has potential, but the dev seems to be missing some pretty important elements.
^yea, needs proper midi settings too
I know the developer is looking into improved MIDI and I've forwarded on the info about the problems I've been experiencing.
