another app that has the vocal input synthesis like Korg IDS-10?

Is there another app that has this functionality? I really love how it works in the IDS-10 but not sure I want to buy it just for that.

  • My favorite is voicebot, I'm not sure it works like you expect it, check it out though

  • @gkillmaster Attack and Nave both have text to audio synthesis capability similar to IDS-10.

thanks @PaulI was thinking more of recording your voice through the mic and using that as a vocoded sound as opposed to text.

  • RealBeat has text to audio as well

The thing that, for me, makes iDS-10 more useful than any of these others is:

    • it sounds great
    • and you can sequence your voice sounds so easily in the same app

@gkillmaster is what you are looking for along the lines of Voice Synth and iVoxel? I have both of those and they do as you describe. I'm not familiar with IDS-10 other than you enter in text and it turns it into sound, which seems like a wholly different set of capabilities.

  • Naves text to speech is alright - but the IDS-10 one is much better. Waldorf Attack too does similar and has the built in sequencer. But it's not as easy to use as the DS - which you can also record your voice directly into the app in addition to typing in some words.

  • Maybe a bit different, but Virsyn iVoxel?

thank you @fprintf ! I didn't remember that I even had Voice Synth and it does do what I need! Its a little difficult to use by comparison but will do the trick.
Voice Synth looks like an amazing app. Sad that I forgot I bought it years ago now!! :)

Bet iVoxel would too. Truth be told, I'm looking for an excuse to buy IDS-10 probably. I think I won't get much use out of it though
and its an expensive app to buy just to play around with.

I was feeling the same - but it's a very good app. I would say if you've used Gadget before and liked it at all - you'll love this. I bought it mainly for the vocoder - but the synths and drums and automation are all great - and you get an Kaoss pad type thing to play with too. I think it'll get more use than I thought - especially once Link is added!!!!

Love Voicebot. I think of it as the entirely different me-cousin to Bebot.

  • Zed Synth can do some pretty great voice synthesis (live vocal input)
