Problem with Sunvox. Help needed.

i'm usng the latest version of Sunvox on an ipad Air running ios 9.2. When trying to import a sample from Audioshare to Sunvox via Audiocopy, the sample isn't saved when I select a location and press enter. also, When trying to create a new directory, the directory isn't created. I want to make Sunvox the new center of my workflow and use it to arrange recordings I made in others apps. i would appreciate it if anyone could help me out here. Also, is it possible to sequence Sunvox instruments from, say, Genome?

Just tried all of the above on an iPhone 6S with latest iOS 9.2 and everything worked fine. Sample got saved, directory created and then loaded sample into the Sampler instrument. So it does work. The only think I can think of is that you might be trying to work in an area of the file system where you don't have write permission. In the file dialog there is a home symbol. I think this is the root of the area in the file system where you are allowed to save files, etc..

Not done it myself but I believe you can trigger notes from MIDI. I think @hellquist was saying yesterday that they did this.

  • @Jocphon: Thanks! I've just tried it and it works. I was trying to save to the stock dirctoris and that isn't possible as it seems. I made a new directory at the root level and all is fine now.

    OK cool, have fun

  • Good, but yes, just to confirm, I often use SunVox via midi, either from apps or external keyboard. It can be a bit finicky (on iPad) at times, and I need to re-open it, and re-set the setting it is actually already set on, for it to "wake up", and I haven't found a pattern for how to reproduce that, but it has happened (more than once). The sounds coming out from it though is well worth the hassle. :)
