DAW to replace GB on iPhone???

I deleted GB cause I was just using it as a recorder and didn't need all the extra crap... Thought there was a sticky about DAWs but can't find it... I just want to record multitracks and have no need for midi or loops or extensive editing, just want a bog standard recorder... I see Multi and Nano but wanted y'alls expert advice on something I can record through AB on multitracks, doesn't have to be simultaneously...

Thanks...

By all accounts reliable and no-frills. Plus it's universal::

Yup, it's extremely easy to use. It has just enough to be dangerous, but not flashy.

  • Took a little getting used to, but not a tough learning curve, still a very nice, low resource app!

  • Is there any DAW that can record multiple instances through AB??? Like if I opened up iDS-10 and some effects on one stream then opened up FunkBox and some effects on another stream; can I record to two tracks or combine them into one track on a DAW??? Does anything record multi through AB???

  • Also this is iPhone only...

    Gotta be something out there...

  • Yep. If you create multiple lanes in AB then MTDaw should record separate AB tracks.

Or personally I'd probably use multiple IAAs in MTDaw. But the result is the same.

MTDaw is universal (so iPhone) and is great. The UI takes a bit of getting the hang of, but once you click with it it's great. Very stable.

  • Music Studio works nice.

I dont have Harmonic Dogs app though.

MStudio is nice and easy in determining and creating multiple tracks from multiple apps simultaneously in Audiobus.

I use IPhone recording generally when on treadmill, so that tells me that the app is user friendly.

However, i can't do MIDI edit stuff, too small.

Nice basic palate of instruments. Similar actually to Looptical with visual tracks

  • Multitrack DAW was one of the first apps having Audiobus support and its developer has always been on top of fixes and other stuff that are important for users. +1

  • A vote from me for Multitrack DAW on the iPhone.

  • +1 for Multitrack DAW. In case you already own them, BeatMaker 2 and N-Track will also work. Both have tons of other features though—if you want a solid multi-track recorder and nothing else in the way, MTDaw is the one.

  • I settled on BeatMaker 2 for my phone DAW but it might have more features than you need cluttering things up. Took a bit to learn it but I can get around it ok now.

  • Sooo, MTD is exactally what I needed...

I just needed an ios 4-track...

This is 4 tracks of a Casio SA-20 through some pedals into MTD and then into a Tascam 414 and then mixed and back into MTD...

Fast and Slow version cause I can tape...

    Multitrack Daw helped a lot...

  • Bm2 has always been there for you

  • MTD is great for getting ideas down.

  • From the dev on the forum of MultiTrak DAW.
