Which iOS drum app is best for real drum pads?
Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I was wondering if anybody uses any iOS drum apps with real drum pads?
I have Alesis drum pads and I was wondering which drum app for iOS is best for playing with real pads?
Is there any drum app that uses round robin for the hits and sounds realistic?

DrumPerfect. Yes to all above. Wait for Pro though, it's with Apple now
Great! I'll definitely add that to my list to be checking out.
+1. Don't think there's even a close second.
Also, when you don't have your pads plugged in, with DP Pro you will have access to velocity sensitive pads in app.
Welcome @CrazySynthMan, you're by no means the only one

Well, DrumJam's kits are multi-velocity sampled and do a bit of round robin with them. The mappings are fixed (GM or linear) right now, but will be customizable in future versions.
FYI Luis Martinez FunkDrummer uses round robin samples. Probably his other apps too.
DrumJam is a very, very good app. But would there be a chance for the Ableton Link update?....... Pretty please........

And I'm really looking forward to the next update!
Drum jam is defiantly worth a look for pads. I like using them together with the many included beats provided for drum jam.
Of course! Working on it now...
Gawd Bless ya, Govner!......

Must be worth a look
Great replies! I'll be looking into all of the above.
Happy in Bunnyville.
Fond of memories of my (very) old Alesis. Pity this has no AB / hasn't been updated since May 2014...
Thanks, it definitely is
How could I forget DrumJam? I mean, it's called Drum Jam (!) and I use it all the time. I guess I don't often use it in the manner asked. DP will probably always eek DJ out as far as per sample/hit tweakability—it has left and right hand sample slots per velocity layer for ftlog— but DrumJam has the library (in terms of breadth of sounds). Plus 113 additional features. You definitely want to check it out.
The Alesis is probably GM mapped already but if it's not, grab MIDI Flow and you can point your Alesis notes to the notes DrumJam is looking for.
I recently pulled my Alesis D4 out from the bottom of my closet just have a bank of drums for midi sequencing so that I could free up other stuff. It's awful and the data wheel has crapped out. It's (almost) funny what used to cost several hundred dollars.
Nice.... what about 3d touch for velocity control?
I can see the YT series now: One Muso and His Closet...
Hi guys, you can try Drum Pads Guru https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/drum-pads-guru/id1061689710?l=en&mt=8 , pretty nice finger drum app.
That looks like a cheap finger drum toy rompler kind off app. Not much to do with the OP.
I saw something else today, though: „EZTrigger“ von Ralph Seaman

This one looks like it could be worth a shot. Although not at €9,99. There's one input and a bunch of bass drum sounds. No AB, IAA or MIDI out that I can see but maybe there's a potential for this to become more useful.
Would be nice to hear if it's any good.
