Really happy to hear about that update, I initially bought this app (app addiction) and really liked it, but asked for a refund due to the lack of midi export (and tight finances )
I'm gonna grab it again, look like a fun and useful tool to have now
I must own all midi editors and controllers !
Sorry Mister. All the rich bleeders went to bed early. Probably with their servants.
Haha
Tests are complete, everything is peachy keen, red button has been pushed! Both versions of the app should now be up-to-date.
Looking forward etc. Good effort on the peachiness and so forth.
Hello, it's me again. 1.1 is out; no musical changes this time around, but you can now use the app in portrait mode as well as with Slide Over and Split Screen. You also get measure numbers and a COOL GLOWY EFFECT when you play notes. Probably need to start working on repeats now... still haven't thought of a good UI, but I'm excited about the possibility of using them for things other than just straight-up repeated sections, e.g. canons. (Imagine sketching out a melodic line, adding a repeat that's offset by a measure, and being able to hear and edit the resulting canon in real-time without having to change every instance of the repeat! Counterpoint is sure to become a lot easier when you can just WYSIWYG it without having to work out all the intervals in your head...)
I feel a little guilty posting here given that my app doesn't even have Audiobus support yet (sorry guys — you should see my pending feature list! ), but I thought I'd mention that in response to my first App Store feature (yay!), I just released an update with some features most commonly requested/complained about in reviews. Version 1.1.5 contains Dark Mode, Left-Handed Mode (let me know how I can improve this even further), and a comprehensive Help menu, as well as a fix for a bug where newly-created documents would keep coming back after deletion (how did I miss that?!). Hoping to add some actual musical features in the coming updates, will see how that goes!
Having been checking out the update and pleased to hear you're still on the stick. I like this app. Will like it even more with some AB support etc (of course)
Version 1.2 is out! I've added the oft-requested ability to export AAC (after figuring out some really obscure framework incantations), a tool for shifting notes horizontally in time, a one-handed drawing mode (though it's a bit rough around the edges — I still think the two-handed approach works best for an app like this), and a Clear Layer button. All in addition to the usual bug fixes, performance improvements, etc. etc.
No AB yet (will get there eventually), but hopefully audio export will help tide things over a bit!
Here's a very brief demo of the new tool: https://youtube.com/watch?v=RdsmFBXt2bw
Good to hear the ball is moving forward to use a crap sporting metaphor. Looking forward to having a revisit with this. Off to see the video...
