Kirnu Cream: Tutorial Informative Video IOS?
I was wondering about and IOS tutorial video on Cream and if there is one.
Frankly, I am partially overwhelmed with life things and haven't had a chance to dig into Cream or Modstep for than matter.
Bought them that fateful night and never really used them. Couple times I looked at them they gave me headache and I returned to StepPolyArp, MIDI Sequencer, or Genome for the rare times I require such sequencing/arp capabilities.
Thanks

I think it would make the most sense to sync any video releases for either Cream or Modstep, when there are relatively bug free versions of either in the AppStore, otherwise there will be lots of frustration showcasing things that doesn't actually work. Admittedly there could be dev videos made, for promotional purposes, but if you are looking for the general public to contribute with their experiences it might right now mainly be a turn-off.
I am currently doing a morning/evening search for "creammobile", "modstep" and "drumperfect" as I'm eagerly waiting for Cream 1.0.1 (with the correct binary), ModStep 1.0.2 (which hopefully will have fixed the outstanding known main bugs) and DrumPerfect Pro (as it will be one of my most used apps).
Excellent. Glad you are doing our work
I found the video on the vst version of Cream to be helpful, partly to see how deep it is but also got me going on a basic setup or 2...http://www.kirnuarp.com/media, http://www.youtube.com/user/kirnuarp.
Yeah, I can't only trust appshopper.com, this place or FB to update me on when it actually happens.
Thanks for all comments.
CREAM and MODSTEP were the first 2 apps I EVER bought and have had almost NO use at all.
Hopefully it will be better after updates.
Cream wouldn't even open this am for me.
@RustiK did you get ahold of the beta version that the dev offered as a place holder for the update?
There was a problem I had with opening Cream (1.0, not the beta) that turned out to be Votan Telepathy hiding in the background. iOS MIDI weirdness of Telepathy compounding Cream issues, which was the setting "automatically connect to midi devices" - don't let it unless you have beta, which he'd set up for you if u email him. (The @ and the . go where the words "at" and "dot" are. The beta hookup is through the TestFlight app)

Hopefully with the apple app elves back at work the update to the release version should be along soon as well
From your lips to Apples ear...
Yup. Didn't want to bother him/me with his kind Testflight offer, but am a little itchy.
I see the 1.01 version is now up on the store. I don't have an arp yet, but I can't decide between this and StepPolyArp (or Arpeggiator?). I'd rather not get both, both for the sake of my rapidly deflating wallet and my already tiny device free storage...
I may end up flipping a coin.
Hopefully with the update out of the way there will be time for video tutorials.still have not seen or heard much of anything.
Just bought international store, have some notes recorded on Auria! Great beginning!
Okay, so I've taken the plunge too. Off to attack the lower slopes of the learning curve, wish me luck...
Gosh! Spending lots time, I have not figuring out how to synch playhead from Auria to automate the starting? I can only manually do the midi recording.
Has anyone successfully done synch and recorded notes from Cream to Auria? Please help!
Hi @Kaikoo , I've had some success testing , although I had some problems due to auria not currently implementing Loop recording well . I actually started setup using YOUR example for StepPolyArp but ended up using two miditracks so I could record & keep the original midi input notes from external keyboard (or drawn) This also sort of replicates the use scenario shown in the Youtube demos of the VST .Don't forget to set input note range as I mentioned in other thread earlier .
So Auria 1st miditrack (9) has external keyboard input ( or draw in your notes in edit mode ) , out to "Cream " CH1
Cream app input = " Cream virtual destination " Track 1 matching midi input channel CH1
Cream track 1 outputs to "Cream virtual source" + midi output CH1
Auria 2nd midi track (10) has Cream as input CH1 , output to the synth/instrument you want to play.
Sync ; Cream app 'sync to input ON' sync source = Cream virtual destination
Auria midi settings ; send notes & clock to 'Cream'
in the last photo you should see the drawn control note C2 sent out on track9
track 10 is the recorded chord pattern from cream ( using chordmem + seq)
hope this helps (cant really answer more tonite now ]
Wow, Oh, @Wally, thanks so much!
Haha, I did use my SPA method to Kirnu with failure. Now so exciting to hear from you, so appreciated. Have not have detail look your writing, will do tests today. Thanks again.
Award yourself a backrub and a good night's sleep. Good effort.
Thank you, developer Arto,
Love this new app, same to the Modstep!
The internal synth of KCMobile has plenty oscillator forms, and has friendly GUI. Not fiddly. I can see I will have extensive use of this arp. CPU floated around 20~35% Air2 CPU consumption on heavily internal synth arpeggiation. For external arpeggiation, floated around 5-7%. I like it! Only have one unknown crash with 2 hours playing. Very good condition so far. Will buy IAP today.
It also send clock to other apps, which is very good that I had a play with Effectrix on Audiobus chain. With different KCMobile note holding triggering different Effectrix patterns.
