  • very cool, thanks

Can I ask (stupid question) what this actually does / how you'd use it?

Does it actually restrict incoming notes to a specific scale? Or is it just about locking the Animoog's onscreen keyboard to a specific scale? (In which case why would this be useful as an AB trigger?)

  • Every Animoog preset has a different scale. If you want to change the sound but keep the scale, that's what it's for.

OK< thanks... But still, the scale is only related to the layout of the onscreen Animoog keyboard isn't it?

You're not saying that if I externally send animoog a note that's not in it's preset's scale that it will transpose that note?

  • Yeah, it's about the Animoog keyboard.

Yep - thanks... Have used this before with external keyboards - (makes them into scale lock keyboards across the white keys) - and you can then flow the midi straight through to whatever app you like. Very nice feature.

    thats the spirit ^^

  • Hasn't this been available for a while on Animoog?

I know I had some remote triggers with Animoog for months.

  • they have been there for many months, but a nice thing about updates is that they make us look at the app with fresh eyes and discover new things that have been there all along ...

  • This is all well and good, but I’ll be honest about the spoiled brat that I am and admit that any update past around December that doesn’t include the phrase “Added Link” is a bit of a letdown.
