Would My Ipad Air (1) lag if I update it to 9.2?
I'm basically asking if it;s safe to come in the water yet from other users with the same device.
I know the whole debacle about apps having to fix compatibility with audio bus is fixed. I know audiobus is fixed too, but my main concern is if there is a lag or any issues with music production?
I'm on ios 8 and am comfortable with it but am interested in ios 9 features.

I only know there is a CPU spike issue in Auira. Need Apple to fix iOS 9.
No problems for me though some issues could be app dependant
I've read of some major issues (pops & crackles) with Positive Grid apps (BIAS etc, Jamup) which may be related to iOS 9 or 9.2 - have a look on their community forum if you're using those apps. Also, there's another thread on this AB forum about issues with the Apogee One interface and 9.2 with Apgogee suggesting the problem lies with Apple. From what I can tell, there's a chance that something in iOS 9.2 is causing some apps to run out of CPU headroom, so not everyone is going to have the same problems. Seems like a difficult thing to research...
I for one will not be updating my iPad from 8.4.1 for a while !
Another problem is the iconnect audio4+ is glitchy when using 2 iOS 9 devices or a Mac on 10.11 with an iOS 9 device.
Don't update if you don't need to.
I'm on an Air 1, but I've managed to park it on 9.1 for now and so far, so good. 9.3 will (most likely) be stabler and 9.4 will be as smooth as silk – and then it's on to iOS 10 in the fall!
Actually it's less than that for devs. 6 months until Apple's WWDC
I've got an Air 1 on iOS 9.2 and there's no discernible performance difference
