I vote for Ableton Link support next - it would be Game Over on my devices as to what would be the default drum machine app going forward.

Also would like to see a clone of Beatmaker 2's ability to quick load samples to pads I've always thought that to be one of its best features.

  • I thought the update was just ACP out not in. This is tremendous and even pastes into keyboard mode.

.... wondering what the odds are of NI swallowing their pride and implementing a feature developed by Ableton. Would be big.

    It. Happened.

Up late, did the usual "lemme see if any updates are ready..." and bang. Link support in iMaschine 2.

    Welp.

    (Thanks NI!)

  • iMaschine 2 + Blocs Wave + AUM + Blamsoft Resampler + (all running Link) = shiiiiiiiiit!

This is simply amazing, especially considering that each I name above is available on iPad and iPhone. Lemme add some Viking Synth to this mix. Damn.

    +1

  • Great stuff. Been wanting this for ages. Thanks NI. :)

  • Very, very cool update. Way to go.

  • Mmm. Sounds like good news.

IMaschine has some good features and sounds.

Me too :) I can't even explain it. I have a dozen of similar apps that have a more impressive set of features but I still prefer iMaschine 2, don't really understand why. It just clicks with me. It's also very stable even on my iPad 2. Which is very cool because iMaschine v1 was pretty unusable on my older device. NI did a great job with the second version

  • Now Im wondering who is going to be the first IOS DAW to add Link?........ Cubasis?...... multitrak Daw?........ Auria Pro?......... n Track?........

  • didn't get suckered. I still use iMaschine 1

  • It's time for a sale and climbing to Top 1.

  • Guys is there a limit on how many tracks one can record or even view in the mixer?

Same :D. I just love how simple it is to use with the great sounds. I didn't think they would implement link at all so this is a fantastic surprise. I still have hope they will do something huge by the end of the year....like porting all their awesome synths as plugins for use only Imaschine.

  • Cool, any midi or what?

Yes only 4 tracks unfortunately. Would be nice if they doubled it at sometime to 8.
