IOS 9: Questions Comments -- undo?

I took the plunge into IOS 9.

Right out of gate, kind of worried.

Many apps seem to be sleeping in Audiobus or not responding.

Is this common for IOS9?

In particular, LAUNCHPAD APP and ENKL. I am sure there will be more, but this is just to start.

Do you recommend uninstalling and reinstalling apps that act up?

Is there an established list of apps that DON'T work with IOS9?

Is there still a way to get my IOS 8 back?

I appreciate any other feedback or suggestions on IOS 9 and how to make it work at an optimal level and performance.

Current Machines: Air1, Air2, and IPhone6+

Thanks for input and assistance.

  • no way to go back to 8. I just updated my ipad4 from ios7 to 9.2 about 3 weeks ago and so far I haven't noticed any major differences or issues. Of course, there are many apps I still have not tried opening so not to say there might not be problems with some setups - but so far so good.

  • I tried restoring a mini from a backup to 8 but had no luck. 8/

The main reason i wanted to restore 8 is i could not stand the overlapped apps when you double tap the home button. Otherwise, aside from the one time 'do you want blah to open in blah' I found it worked ok.

one weird thing is i updated my iphone 4s from 7 to 8.4.1 a couple days ago... i guess the update was downloaded already and it was just an install.

Yeah, I think I remember seeing that IOS9 was hovering in limbo yet consumed memory prior to installing it.

How do you stop the "blank wants to open app ok"?

    What do you mean overlapped?

Hmm would be be best for me to include a screenshot but i will try and describe. on ios9 when i double tap the home button the apps are large and stacked on top of each other as oppsed to shrunk and not stacked on ios8.

you can't stop the prompt "xxx wants to open xxx app ok?" ...

It is supposed to only appear once for any given scenario. That being said there are a lot of bloody scenarios, especially with my workflow. It is enough of an annoyance i look at my mini with ios9 and think 'eh, not today'
