RIP Glenn Frey!
Bad start for musicians into the new year!

May God rest his soul.
So sad. I love the Eagles, always on around at my house. He will be missed.
Not an Eagles fan but they were a very talented band with many great songs. I could always respect that.
RIP Glenn.
RIP Glenn.
I suppose he and David might have a few things to talk about...
Wow, I had no idea, was he ill?
Edit: just looked it up, he died from (in part) ulcerative colitis, which I had surgery for 21 years ago. I had no idea it affected him as well. Very sad.
This one hits especially hard. If you haven't heard it, take a listen the the heartbreakingly beautiful "It's your World Now". It's almost a sequel to "New Kid in Town" but from someone older, wiser, and closer to the end than the beginning. Godspeed Glen Frey.
It’s your world now
Use well your time
Be part of something good
Leave something good behind
The curtain falls
I take my bow
That’s how it’s meant to be
It’s your world now
are you fucking serious
miami vice for life!
Very sad - and 67 is no age these days. RIP.
With a lot of people famous and not, talented and not, exiting the stage I'm reminded to say:
All life is sacred,
We don't know what comes next
Let everyone know you love them
and most importantly "Don't be a Dick"
“I learned through Jackson’s ceiling and my floor exactly how to write songs,” said Frey, in the Eagles documentary History of the Eagles, Pt 1. “Jackson would get up and play the first verse and chorus 20 times until he had it just the way he wanted. Then there would be silence. Then I heard the teapot go off, then it would be quiet for 10 or 20 minutes, then he would play again and there’d be a second verse and he’d play it 20 times. I am up there going, So that’s how you do it? Elbow grease. Time. Thought. Persistence.”

Good advice for all Song of the Monthers
I spent a lot of time listening to their albums growing up as their songs told stories.
