contact mic triggers midi

I recently purchased a kontakt mic to use with Impaktor app.
are there any good apps that will do a similar thing in using a signal from a kontakt mic to trigger midi notes in another app?

i dont have it, but voxkit has midi in/out - no idea how it works to be honest. always been tempted to get this one and see how it works, but seeing how little i use impaktor, i think it would just sit there without use.

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voxkit!/id539347505?mt=8

edit - i hope the midi in/out is not just clock stuff. maybe email the developer? i cant think of any other app that works like voxkit or impaktor though.

  • Voxkit definitely will do this!

  • awesome I'm gonna check it out now. thanks guys

  • Sorry but can't really recommend voxkit. Maybe if it gets updated but I find it very unreliable and slow.

  • yeah seems a little glitchy. any developers out there, you should work on a contact mic midi trigger app. it would be great !

I actually think you can use Thumbjam's pitch-to-MIDI to do this, though it might not put out the MIDI note you want so you'd need something like Midiflow to transform it.
