Garageband update & iSEM AU help
I'm curious if anyone else is missing the Audio Units button in the instrument browser of the new Garageband? I have all other features that the Garageband update promises, just no way to select iSEM as an AU. I have an iPad 3; but I see no requirements for running AU other than it needs an iOS9 device (though I know Live Loops won't run on the older hardware).

@ViBRATiONLANDER I don't know if this will help you, but I didn't have iSEM when I checked out the Garageband update--and there was no AU section there. However, after I installed iSEM, the AU page turned up.
Thanks for the suggestion @Reid.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling iSEM with no luck seeing AU.
I am able to open iSEM with the IAA in Garageband though.
What ver iOS are you using? I'm not sure what versions support AUs, but that might be the issue.
Are you on iOS 9? audio units are not supported in iOS 8 and earlier versions of iOS, it's the only explanation I could think of for the audio units option to be completely absent on the instrument browser (other than isem not being installed on the device). As you said live loops won't run on an iPad 3 but there shouldn't be a problem with AU
AU is not supported for older iPads so you won't see it. Had the same problem with MidiSTEPS and asked the dev why and he told me. Pity I know time to upgrade.
I am running os 9.2.1, but yes it is an older iPad 3.
Has anyone else here been able to run iSEM as an AU in Garageband (or another host) on an iPad 3?
I don't see any AU option on my iPad 2 with latest iOS, GarageBand, and iSem installed; so I think you may need an A6 processor or better for the AU option to be available in GarageBand.
So AUs are available only on 64 bit devices? It's rare nobody said anything about it until now.
iPad4 is 32bit and can do AUs.
Alright. So what's the thing that makes AU work or not? Just that the iPad 2 and 3 are old?
Is it unusual that Apple would have an undocumented hardware requirement for AU, when other new Garageband features have very specific caveats listed with them?
I understand most of you are thinking what could you really do with GarageBand? Is garage ring totally free Garageband for PC? Let me first give you a good idea about exactly what this program is all about.
