LOOPY & LOOPY HD: Simultaneously?
If I buy Loopy, can I run it simultaneously with LoopyHD in Audiobus?
The more Loopy the better you know.

Yes, and yes, and I totally agree :-)
I'm actually building a setup that has Loopy HD for my standard looping and regular Loopy set up as a real-time sampler. Still testing...but it is promising. There wasn't a lot of buzz around this, but the latest updates enabled an option to trigger loops instantly from start. So I'm finally taking time to see how this works for sampling on-the-fly.
I'd never thought of this! Often with Loopy projects I wish I had 3 or 4 more slots to put loops ... Is it possible to have both Loopy and Loopy HD installed on 1 device? If you bought Loopy HD, is Loopy another purchase? Gotta check into this more tonight..
Yep, you just have to buy them both. They are entirely separate apps and both can be installed simultaneously on an iPhone or an iPad.
Loopy & Loopy HD....... Didn't think of that......Brill idea, especially, now they are with Ableton Link....... & they will run on the iPad......... Bravo! Rustik.....
Brilliant Combi, been using this a lot lately because of the same reasons, runs smooth and neatly.
Is there a way to cue tracks so that they start when the longest track comes back around to its start? Group the Loop does this and I like it a lot, I don't get that slight mis-timing i get in Loopy, but going thru the settings I don't see this. Maybe the Masterpiece edition, this has been mentioned?
You got me.
I swear sometimes I feel like apps like Loopy have personalities of their own, behaving differently on some days then others.
As for your question, I think you answered your own post.
I think you have stated the facts as we now know them.
Group The Loop ----------- best app in a long time.
I'm inherently lazy so i would like to just record a mix in loopy that's somewhat song-ish and put it on soundcloud (where it will attract two listens over the course of a year) and be done with it, no exporting samples to a DAW, etc. But Group the Loop's AB output doesnt appear to let me choose which track is to be recorded into and thus is closer but still not the ultimate solution, to my predicament.
wow, if you have questions related to "slightly mis-timing" you are missing a huge feature of Loopy. Loopy does timing exceptionally well.
@rhcball To do what you are asking go to Settings>track management> synchronization and fiddle with all those settings. Most importantly "count-in/ count-out mute" - ON - will make loops start at the next full "clock length" cycle. or you can adjust to your need with the "count-in quantize" setting.
I meant my own mis-timing, in starting/stopping tracks. My fault, not the app's. I never adjusted the count-in/out setting so thanks, i'll try that.
EDIT: yes that's exactly what I wanted, thank you!
"my own mis-timing" That's what I'm saying, Loopy makes up for human error by synchronizing everything, such an amazing feature.
As long as your first loop is on beat, Loopy takes care of the rest.
I should have asked the question two years ago.
Unasked questions are like first line of coke - always so painful to look at what they have led to.
Anyway..............lol
