Audiobus/MTS/DM1

Should I be using audio is to control Dm1 drums with Multitrack Studio or is there something I'm missing?

Comments

  • You can control DM1 from MTS with MIDI if you have DM1 in the Input slot of Audiobus and MTS in the Output slot.

You can also control DM1 from MTS without Audiobus if you create a MIDI track and load DM1 as an IAA Instrument.

  • Nice. Ive created tempo chart via "Song Edit" in MTS. DO I load "song" in Dm1 and let it play into MTS, or can I somehow select patterns in dm1 through MTS.
AM I better off programming the sequence in MTS?

  • Nope, you can't.
ATM it looks like it receive(and sends) MIDI clock and notes just for drums triggering

That makes sense as the problem I have is tempo changes within a song.
So I'm guessing the best route is to program the sequence in MTS and allow it to trigger? Any suggestions?
Ultimately I would like to change patterns and tempo throughout the song.
I'm completely perplexed as to why the tempo doesn't change along with the pattern.

Currently I can load a song in dm1 and patterns change for me in MTS however tempo does not.
