Safari not so goody
Any of you guys or gals getting Safari problems?
Often when I click on the bar to change sites, Safari closes to background. Have reset settings and closed iPad, but no joy. Only started happening today.
Latest iOS Air2

Same here.
i just downloaded firefox. safari on my second ipad air1, ios 8.4 crashed. on the older ipad air1, ios 8.4 it still runs.
At least the reset of the settings gave me nearly half a gig of storage back
Never use safari use (always have) google chrome !! Voice search is absolutely brilliant. Knocks Siri for 6 !
I use iCab mobile as my main browser. I can recommend it.
No problems here on iPad pro. For now....
Yep, Safari is a bit of pain on iOS here too.
no probs on 5s (latest OS) and Air 2 (9.1).
So far so good Air1 iOS 8.4.1
I highly recommend Safari and a lobotomy, the two go together well.
Settings>Safari>turn off Safari suggestions?
no probs on any of my devices...
I've already had the lobotomy, will try not using Safari
Same problem this morning for some reason, been working fine up until then!

Should get your browser back working.
That works
Sounds pretty widespread: http://appadvice.com/appnn/2016/01/updated-widespread-bug-causes-safari-to-crash-when-address-bar-is-tapped
It seems to be a little wonky on the mac as well.
Yeah, same here, just started happening
Working fine here all day on iOS and OSX, weird.
Yeah same for me. I'm still on Yosemite, and there was a recent Safari update which causes some sites to lag heavily when loading. Really annoying. Seems like Apple goes way too fast with their updates.
Fine here, same hardware as @Crabman.
Perhaps an acre or two of servers at their massive North Carolina server farm got soggy in the recent snowstorm?
Guy Lombardo?
I'm trying out Firefox on iOS now. It's supposed to be able to sync across all my devices.
I'm trying Opera Mini, as it was ok on an old phone I had. Seems ok so far.
My choice these days, seems to crash less than the rest, Coast wasn't too bad, but bookmarking drove me crazy, saves the site, but not the page. When in Opera the cursor placement control is messed up though.
Thank you for posting this. The same thing was happening on my iPad this morning and I'd wondered how I had screwed things up so badly that Safari wouldn't work. I did a full power off and reset of the memory and that did seem to help (the reset where you put the home button and power button for a few seconds until the Apple logo shows up).

Here is a fix, got to settings, then Safari, then turn off Safari suggestions, seriously it works
