Happy Sunday Everyone, Q: Which iOS daw or daw like app has the most versatile/ and flexible Grid?
that is hopefully painless to navigate, I want to get into making drums and sample placements on a grid... I have never done this before on any platform, always played in beats, samples etc... I understand grids of course I'm just looking for the iOS app that is the most flexible in this regard but also super fast/easy.... i.e. grab sample, drop it on the grid, change the grid for the next sample and repeat. I also need allot of grid choices, that's what I mean by flexible.... ?
thanks in advance

I would say patterning even if it still is some kind of step sequencer. If you are looking for a free positioning audio sequencer to arrange visually your samples just did a simple 4 on the floor in borderlands but I don't think is what you were looking for since it has no grid at all nor play button:)
yeah am looking for something with a timeline and grid that offers quintuplets, and anything else under the sun
and easy access browser I guess
Then again: Auria, which is a actual DAW, but don"the expect the workflow to be super fast for your idea.
Patterning, has a free form grid for each instrument in the form of steps and subdivions
Drum perfect pro, still step sequencer, less graphically catchy than patterning but it gives a lot of freedom when it comes to timing and sample articulation.
Not strictly a DAW but DrumPerfect Pro has a very flexible and unusually malleable grid. Also Nanostudio's note editor is very nice.
thanks for the tips do any of these let you nudge?
so far I've been using patterning but it's a step sequencer, I don't have mod step yet, do you guys have it/think it might work?
But it is Monday.
Not sure what you mean actually.
lol
but only for 5 more days muahahahhahhaaaa
Have you checked out Elastic Drums??? Not so much grid but it's reals easy to make interesting beats that are pretty malleable...
thanks love elastic but I need to use samples.
