Line6 MobilePod
As Anyone seen this : http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4118
Seams that MobilePod is about to be on the Bus soon !!!
Comments
I haven't seen it....nice!
Yeah saw this a few days ago- I have been waiting for it for a long time- GREAT NEWS!!
-- and Line 6 announced a new connector (the Mobile In design was rough--- the connector came out frequently on an ipad mounted anywhere but flat on a table).
Yeah, I had the misfortune of owning a Mobile In. It was noisy and it wouldn't stay plugged in. If you're going to force people to use a certain piece of hardware, you should probably make sure it's not a steaming pile of shit.
That for me is brilliant to hear!!! Love the sound of the mobile pad app but because I couldn't use it to record stopped using it.
Will this be a stand alone app or will you still need their controller?
Is this app out? I haven't heard about this one until now. Does anybody have this mobile POD yet?
I have it, and there are some good sounds, but I agree with @Matthew regarding their interface. It's a shame when dev's force users to buy proprietary hardware to use their software.
Yeah, agreed. I can see why they do that, but really it's not cool.
Anyone know when the release date is? Cannot find anything doing a quick search on line 6 forums.
Re. Mobile in, always used mine with a 32 pin adaptor cable, never came unplugged ;-)
Amazon and Sweetwater have it in stock. I have to be totally honest… this thing looks kind of nice, and the Pod app looks good too. They still really need to make the app work with other interfaces.
Looks great, can't wait to get one.
(Oops, thought you guys were talking about this http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SonicPort/)
I have looked at the documents again from the first post and it would appear AB is already supported. Bit confused! Is that a genuine web address/document ?
@Nu2moro Seems that documents are already online before Apple agreed the updated App !
Actual version is Not AB compatible.
Pleased to hear that! For a moment thought I was going slightly mad lol :-)

Ordered this one a few days ago from Amazon:
Patuoxun Dock Extender Extension Data Sync Charge Cable for iPod iPad iPhone 3GS 4 4G 4S (Support Audio/S-Video Transfer)
and tested it and I'm lovin' life--- cable stays in (goes between Mobile In and the iPad 30 pin connector and I keep my Mobile In--- which by the way has same specs as new SonicPort!
Does anyone know what has happened to the audiobus update? Absolutely no feedback from line 6 on the subject :-(
Looks like the document has been pulled off the line6 website. Audiobus no more :-(

Make it compatible with all the interfaces, price it reasonably, include audiobus and you have a winner.
Otherwise this is obsolete
Spoke to line 6 today, audiobus compatibility will be released shortly! Happy days :-)
