Vinyl (Lofi) Effect App
What app can I use to have a nice vinyl background effect, making the music sound it was recorded from the past or simply lofi sounding?
Comments
Caustic has one, sounds real enough to me.
master record is a good un
+1
AUFX: Dub
has only tape-fx, not vinyl.
Not IOS but this:

Can I just say that I disagree with the premise that vinyl is lofi.
But it has wobble, and then filters too, which in combination definitely makes it sound like it's recorded from the past.
Big fan of the AUFX apps. Best FX apps out there in my opinion.
This should do the trick:
Vinyl - the Real Record Player' van elephantcandy
https://appsto.re/nl/HbFeI.i
It has audiobus support
Beat-Machine by Derek Mesecar, a mpc like drum machine, where one can manipulate the samples with a very nice vinyl effect (iap - overall price 2 quid) ... the vinyl granulation runs in the background and sounds great.
Add me on.
Does it work in the fx slot? If so, I may jump on this. For the time being (and on..) I resort to the Hexe Melusine III vinyl simulator/lofi fx pedal I just received. : ) (sorry for the OT..)
No it only works with a source from iTunes library. Unless I'm missing something anyway
The Caustic one sounds like the classic Roland VS sound and AUFX:Dub can definitely be tuned to make some crackle, pops, warbles, and wobbles...
not an app but you can find some beautiful vinyl crackle samples here:

Me too - here's an experiment using Master Record's "vinylizer"
Wow! I'm glad I saw this thread. I've been using Tone Projects Sonitex stx-1260 on the PC for years to produce what I call Faux-Sampled Beats. Since I started producing on the iPad, I've been looking for something similar. Vinyl is fun to play songs through, but it's a pain to use as an effect because you have to import your sample into the iTunes library to play it. I'll definitely be getting Master Record. It's even on sale now!

You won't regret Master Record. I get my Boards of Canada fix from that.
nice
Thank you guys! Great timing, just bought Master Record - on sale!
I've also used Master Record to record some loops live from my speakers. Through the Air, so to speak. Very LOFi
Oops just to add, make sure if you have a dog, it is not in the room!
Thanks for the tip! I too just bought Master Record on sale. This is the closest app I've seen to my beloved Sonitex stx-1260. Funny enough, I just got an email today from iZotope that there's a new version of Vinyl after all these years!
