  • Mmmmmmm....... 303?.........

  • 303? there are already some nice emulation on the store
After Ableton Link, I was thinking on doing a step sequencer version on my synthesizer EGSY01

  • Hey Andy, from a person without a clue ...what is involved with adding something like link to an app ? I'm guessing the longest time is waiting for Apple to approve

Actually is was pretty difficult to integrate Link to my apps, because developers need to modify the way app audio engine works in its core part...it's not so easy and it's a very sensitive part. The Link concept is easy to understand but (at least for my app) not so nice to implement.
On the contrary Audiobus now is really straightforward to support.

    Hi everybody...I'm the EGDR808 developer.

Any suggestion and feedback is highly appreciated (and I always tried to implement what users requested)

    Cheers,
    Andrea

well, as you ask.... the kick drums a little dull ... it doesn't cut through the mix like the Kick on Boom 808. also the levels overall are quiet. i find i have to lower the levels on all other apps when used with EGDR808

id use it a hell of a lot more if the above issues were addressed. here's hoping ;)

@Enc, the tone & decay knobs on the kick don't work for you? I find that they can change pretty much the sound of kick drum.

About the overall volume, yes maybe it's a little quite, but there's also a master volume (at least on the iPad version)...is it not enough?

yes, all levels are maxed out and its still quiet.
i like the app (as i said near the top) i like the grid programming ... its a very nice addition and makes programming and editing very quick.

I've just submitted a new update for both the full and lite version of EGDR808 with a 4db increase of all the samples.
Also I've changed a little the kick eq to better cut in the mix...
@enc let me know if you like it, few days and they will be online

Nice work on the 808. Is the 909 getting the quick edit button as well?
Maybe you could also give it a sound update. Any idea when it's ready?

@NTKK I will work on 909 in the next days, I hope to submit the update in the week.
Sound update? Is there something you don't like now?

  • No problem guys...please remember to write a good review for the app, it's a very important support to me

  • It could be a little louder. I always have it running on 11 - and it's still pretty low if Bassline is in the mix as well.

  • EGDR909 update is available now, with Ableton Link support and the new quick pattern write mode, please give me your feedback guys

Hi Andy, big improvement on most sounds but the kick drum still doesn't cut through for me.
Check the kick drum on boom 808 ... That really cuts through!!
