He asked me to delete his account. Too much drama I guess.
The trolls got him.So sad.
oh dear
I guess real life is complicated enough to be having virtual battles on top.
I hope so too and his fence, with all these storms.
Times are tough these days.
At least for what I see here in Baltimore, Maryland.
All the best to that lad.
I miss the fella.
had no idea. well glad to know it wasn't something more serious.
Me too. Frankly, in my view he was treated abysmally by a small but vocal minority here.
This forum is a lot poorer without him.
it couldn't have been that bad could it, I'm on here when I'm supposed to be sleeping and I didn't even see what happened...but I know he was a sensitive cat, being one myself (when it comes to beat machines)I don't think there's anything wrong with sticking to your guns
Some peeps were rude to him, I thought.
seems like it, but somehow I missed the whole shebang.... I would've told those peeps , hey you peeps shove it in your peephole you peephole peepin peeps, unless of course they were my peeps, then I would have said get'em peeps but go easy on'em cause that's my peeps.
word..... lol......
You took the peeps right out of my mouth
Best wishes Monzo. One of the nicest people on this forum.
Shame on the b******s who ground him down.
I shall honor Monzo by eating some Peeps for Easter this year! Here's to you and Mrs Monzo!
I miss him too, but then I also imagine him in a Welsh field somewhere, blessing sheep and admiring his enormous beard, and all the while Getting Stuff Done. Hope so.
Yes, he still pumps out unfathomably brilliant soundscapes to the cloud that is sound.
Liked his rants & sense of humour. Take it easy Mr M
To be frank, I've had a few run ins with him as well. The day before he asked me to delete his account I had to mute him for a day as well as the person he kept arguing with. I've never had to do this before but I think he was pissed afterwards.
It's tricky for me to keep conversations civil without being heavy handed (I've have almost two decades of experience with moderating communities like this, but it's still hard). Sometimes you lose some.
It must be difficult Seb. Writing software, & moderating the forum(plus many other things you do)..... Your like a Mum & Dad all my in one ....At some point I've might of pissed you off at some point in time(or two), & others, but respect is due to you & the boys on the forum. Never meant to be personal or offend anyone. We just just express our feelings on certain things we feel strongly about, then move on. But mainly we help others who make music on IOS(if we can?)....... Everyone is entitled to an option, so long as you say, be civil.
Looking on the bright side he's probably saving a fortune not being tempted by all the new shiny apps posted on here
Sorry to be argumentative here but the way I recall those ugly events is that the threads introducing Auria Pro finished Monzo off. Unfortunately many vile things were said to and about him including posts about his children and disparaging remarks about his nationality, I feel this was an all time low on the forum. I believe he did his best to keep his argument about the upgrade price out of the gutter but half a dozen or more forum members bullied him relentlessly. I also think it was the last straw when he was accused of being the guilty party. I know he liked to argue his corner but he certainly did not deserve that level of abuse. I am glad to say some members stood up for him and I regret that I was not one of them. To be honest I don't come on to any forum to make friends but Monzo very often made me laugh, maybe his humour was not universal enough. I imagine in the end he felt he was left with no other choice but to leave the forum for good.
Just some thoughts on being here. I try to live by them, but I am human and have my failings. I own my failings
This site is one of the most civil I have ever been on. Internet forums can be cruel places. I have had to learn like many, that the best way is to state your point in a non personal manner. If someone gets personal just ignore them.
If someone disagrees with you, that's cool. If someone misunderstands you, that's cool too. If someone says something that you think is not tasteful humour, be cool about it and move on.
Try to think of everything someone says as just their understanding of a situation. If you think that understanding may need a counter point, then post. Don't assume people are posting for reactions, not all posts that initially seem like stir up threads are as we first think. If someone takes humbridge to your point, try another to discuss calmly or walk away.
Try to avoid telling someone how they should feel or react, but it is fine to comment how you feel or react to a given situation. Well natured advice is good though.
It's great to debate, but remember you don't need the last word
Very sound advice.

Indeed. And those bullies are still here ...
wow I had no idea this was going on, I don't own /use auria so maybe that's why... how did his race/nationality even come up, this doesn't sound like the audiobus forum?
I did not know about any racist remarks. If anyone can point me towards them I'm going to take the appropriate steps to deal with that. Such behaviour will not be tolerated. You can either contact me via the forum messaging system or our support email.
