Who still thinks we really are paying too much for decent synth emulations on iOS

  • You could also build a full on midi controller for iVCS3 and still have plenty of change ;)

  • Also, I saw on disccord that the full Albelton Live SUite is $750.00. I think $50.00 Buck-a-roo's for Auria, or Cubase or the like is a sweet deal.

  • I am not getting them.

Because I need 2 of them. One for my right hand, one for my left.

    Shame though.

  • who ever thought this?

  • Can't wait for Korg to make a hardware reissue of this

  • They should be still in production

The site hasn't been updated since '98 but if you mail the sales department it will address a gmail account. And big G wasn't remotely anywhere in '98

  • And the sales department will put you on a waiting list that goes to the moon and back. Forget it.

Yeah that's why Korg making a 90% version and putting it into production would be great. Like they did with the ARP Odyssey.

I have to say I prefer the ivcs3, because it doesn't go out of tune if you open the window :unamused:
and I can save what I did :)
It also does all these nice things like Bluetooth midi & audiobus
and doesn't cost an arm and a leg :cookie:
and I can wisper in Alessandro ear hey, can you give me these features :)
    Hardware just isn't this flexible

Granted to all these reasons but the physical synth is a work of art.

Possibly the least musical looking appearance they could manage but iconic nonetheless.

  • Synthi and ivcs3 nicely singing together

But the Audio Warp is nowhere as good as Ableton Live in Auria(tho Auria Audio Warp it's in its infancy).... With Ableton, you drag your Wav file into a track, & it automatically warps it into the BPM(mostly spot on) that you are using. & as for Cubase...... That's a frigging joke, even FL Studio 12 better than Cubase for Audio Warping. If Rim can get the Audio Warp the same as Ableton(eventually he might? But as he is a very busy chap) Auria will be the Ultimate DAW(plus Link)......... I don't know why, but just thinking about it. In the early days of Amiga/ST, you had DAWs(Bars & Pipes for Amiga, & Cubase ST for Atari).... All had midi clock messages. Then things evolved(faster computers, whether MAC or PC, it doesn't matter).... Cubase evolved, FL Studio evolved, as did Sony ACID software....... All had reliable midi clock, messages, etc, but with audio there was restrictions to a degree.... All these wonderous software companies, making great music software.... Then came NI Traktor DJ, with the Real audio time warping technology. I thought WOW, remix heaven. But none of the big boys implemented it in there software. Even Cubase(Yamaha)didn't pioneer it(still the same now, & a pain in the Arse to mix a WAV file into your midi track). I emailed them once(long time ago) about putting Traktor DJ into there DAW, they said it cannot be done at this time. Then a young Team of software engineers came along & rewrote the book 2 years later. They are called Ableton. Now Abletons technology has made it easier for iPad music making with link(as midi clock on IOS is Shit)...... Made me smile, as I wrote back saying Ableton has done it, so when are you going to implement it, as your charging me 50+ euros a bloody update(after spending €450 on them)........ Got no reply. I thought ok. No more....... Anyway, Ableton have done a lot for us all & made our lives less stressful, if I have a spare €750, I would get Ableton Luve 9 suite....... Also a plus for Image Line, for there policy of once you buy FL Studio, you get a LIFETIME FREE of updates...... Even if they take it up to FL Studio 50.....

    Holy shit

  • @studs1966

Yes, those are great points. I don't have Cubase, only Auria Pro. For me it is great without Audiowarp being as good as it could/should be. But, I understand what you are saying.
