I spent Decembers money though.
Noticed that too, very little info available, is it a new 'big name' app from the likes of Waldorf or Arturia or is it something completely new? Maybe it's a souped up version of nLog filling in the missing gaps regarding synthesis (sync, ring mod, wave-sequencing 'SID-Style', step-sequencer etc.). Maybe it's 'Nave 2' with more oscillators and more advanced routing & synthesis?
Those who are beta-testers are most likely under NDA.
What ever it is I'm almost 100% sure I'll manage to find a bug or two
I'm sure it will be iPad only..... So maybe another reason for a new iPad.....
But i should wait before Apple release the iPad Air 3 in march (maybe).
That is correct.
Whatever it is, i hope there willbe a proper demo video out there on release day.
And please not that dissapointing 30 second style thing.
Tease.
Samu, the bug seeker!
That's my middle name and every time I find 'embarrassing' bugs It hopefully makes devs question their beta-team.
I just can't stand NDA's (especially If it's unpaid work!) so I blew it with Beathawk/UVI. During the short period I had access to the beta I found too many 'bugs' to mention and there were promises made that most of them would be fixed within a short period of time and pushed to the App Store, that was over 8 months ago and we've seen no updates and the bugs are still present...
But what ever Rolf is cooking it's most likely high quality stuff
UVI focus is on Falcon mainly i think and their other sample libraries.
Also we know that each software comes with bugs.
Rolf makes quality yes.... But also his apps have bugs sometimes.
We have to deal with it but i agree that there are sometimes bugs where i think why no one found it after a few minutes in the beta.
Another Arturia port with AU support...?would not say"no"
We got 50% Arturias Prophet V done by the 'R-dudes' so it would only be logic to get the remaining 50% by the other half who already gave us iSEM.
What ever it is it's most likely very hard to resist
He said it was big so maybe iCS80.
Probably Jupiter 8V ...
I don't understand the candidate 1 and 2 thing, kind of sounds like 2 app releases.
It´s a common thing in beta tests. A candidate could be released because it seems very bug free but when someone still find a bug there will be a candidate 2..... or 3 or 4.....
I see, thanks for the explanation.
I wish it would be a new unique app rather another port......
When an application is considered feature complete a release candidate is sent out to the beta-testers, if they find bugs another hopefully fixed release candidate is released until the know bugs are sorted out.
Me too, surprises are always nice
Thanks @Samu
So by submission he means submitting to Apple. So a few more weeks or a month max I guess.
I interpret "If all is fine" as meaning "no more know bugs left to fix". If bugs are found it could take longer.
