So, B-Step Pro...
...any proponents/exponents amongst the brethren?
I have opened it a number of times, got confused/overwhelmed, and allowed myself to be distrac---oh look, a squirrel, rather than buckle down, BUT I revisited it tonight and while still not really feeling in charge did run some Module through it and ended up with a wonderfully fluid and real sounding sequence....
Anyone made it fly? Am a little concerned that it's been a year or so since any updates, but maybe it's completely the finished item already....I suppose what I'm hoping is for someone to tell me it's worth making the extra effort and that comparative rewards are there for those that do etc.

I've definitely gotten it to sing with me a few times but it was largely despite myself—I get lost most every time. I can't say for sure from the perspective of someone who has had a lot of success with it but it's definitely on my shortlist of apps I'm confident could deliver quite a lot more with a bit of dedication.
I often use it to fire off a basic sequence at a synth while making sounds. I'm sure I use about 1% of what it has to offer.....now where is that squirrel
I found it particularly useful when i lack of creativity, it has a lot of chordsets in his presets and it's relatively easy to create something that just sounds good, i think it's the only sequencer i own (aside fugue machine) that works for me in this kind of situations...
Interesting, or reassuring maybe. While it is wholly different to look at, I am put in mind, or feel, of Fugue also. The step velocity particularly -and very quickly- delivers a Debussy-like watery feeling....did find an older @thesoundtestroom pair of demos (Doug and Colin) which help a little and are also reassuring in the way that Sir Doug is/was also somewhat nonplussed
Yes. Good. Thanks. I have a folder for these and it was because I was looking again at TNR-i which sits next to B-Step in it that I ran it up again....I've probably spent the last couple of weeks 'going back to basics' and using a lot of Sir Sampleton and Enth with Loopersonic and Group the Loop, trying to get out of a funk, but am thinking that maybe I need to clear ALL of the decks and do some proper study with something. Maybe B-Step's the thing...
