AmpliTube for iPad adds MESA/Boogie models

Just thought some here would like to know AmpliTube for iPad has been updated with the Mesa models https://geo.itunes.apple.com/us/app/amplitube-for-ipad/id373750924?mt=8&at=10l4CP&ct=social as well as the free and LE versions on iPhone, and the others should follow suit soon.

We'll have a more official announcement on our site once the other version have caught up, but I figured some folks here would like to know before that.

  • Well, that's interesting. I'll have to mess with that some, too.

  • No problem! AmpliTube iPhone full and AmpliTube iPad Free have been approved and released on the App Store with the Mesa models now too.

  • The other apps are now available, so the MESA/Boogie models are available in AmpliTube for iPhone Full, Free, and LE as well as AmpliTube for iPad Full and Free. We also have the AmpliTube MESA/Boogie available too.

  • Woo, I got it! I always wanted a Recto, but I don't really need a "real" one, so this is cool. I don't know what it is that IK does differently from everyone else, but Amplitube is the only modeller that doesn't require endless tweaking for me to get a sound I like.

  • Amplitube is by far the most stable virtual amp running on my iPad. I'll surely will check it out.

  • I think that's one reason why it's difficult to say which amp sim is the 'best', since it's so dependent on what sound you're looking for, and what your guitar sounds like. I'm generally looking for warmer Fender-style tones, and Amplitude always takes quite a bit more fiddling than Bias/Jamup or ToneStack to get a sound I like, but also to its credit the app is very malleable (especially in the mic/cab section). I really like the Orange sounds, so I'm assuming the MesaBoogie selection is likely strong as well.

  • Thanks for the kind words! I know that these MESA models were sought-after on iOS ever since we released the desktop version so I'm glad people are digging them.
