The use of Franz Schubert in the movie Barry Lyndon
Wonderful scene here from the movie Barry Lyndon. If you're not familiar with the movie, Barry is courting the young woman whose husband is old and dying (still alive at that point in the movie I believe), and the man next to her at the card table is her assistant.
Notice how the music syncs with Barry reaching for her hand. Knowing Stanley Kubrick's striving for perfection I have to think that was deliberate.
At any rate, enjoy the scene and the music, both are quality.

Great music throughout the film, this scene though is so remarkable. The music even seems align when the assistant catches on @1:19. And yeah I agree the music just seems to fit, with a pulsating sense of hope and a tinge of longing.
