scriptSONIC Beta-Testers Wanted
Hello
I'm the developer of Strange Attractor and Voco and have just finished writing a new, more substantial app called scriptSONIC. I'm currently looking for people who'd be interested in beta-testing it.
scriptSONIC is a programmable musical instrument, which brings the creative power of JavaScript to iPad music making. You can find a promo video and user documentation at www.scriptsonic.com
If you're interested, please email me at [email protected]
Thanks,
Jonathan Mackenzie

I've briefly tried SuperCollider but it's way too deep for me and feels somewhat similar to scriptSONIC.
Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass this time, sorry.
It's really not as full-on as SuperCollider! I've tried to keep the programming side of things as simple as possible. In any case, it comes with a load of presets that work out-of-the box.
Just submitted...and fed my appholism...played a couple of minutes with strange collider and voco and...BANG. Pretty fell in love with em already
I'm glad this app is being developed cuz my interests are moving towards deeper levels of engagement (programming). i'm a horrible beta tester though.
Pleased to hear it! That's exactly why I developed it - for a deeper level of creative experimentation that coding can give you.
@macduff That looks very interesting. I'm too busy to beta test, but just wanted to wish you luck with it and that I'll keep an eyes out for its release.
Looks really interesting. I'd love to help beta as its right up my alley but tbh, I probably wouldn't get much time to dig in.
Can users share scripts? Is it possible to write the scripts on your computer and send them over?
@SpookyZoo & @syrupcore - thanks for the encouragement. Yes, scripts can be saved & loaded as text files.
I'm in the 'don't possibly have time to test' camp, but this looks fascinating! Good luck with the project as it would seem to fill a very unique niche in the toolbox.
I'm in! dm for Apple ID, plz
hi @dderks - i need an email address for Apple's TestFlight system to send you the code. Please email [email protected]
It does look really interesting , wish I knew how to code
@Carnbot - it comes with a load of examples that work out of the box - so no immediate need for coding. Plus, I've tried to keep the coding as simple as possible, so it could be a way to learn how to code. If you're up for it, I'd love to know how you get on with it as a non-coder. Email me if you're interested - [email protected]
