Any experience with "MidiPlus" products? (AK490?)

I have an Akai MPK25, and it's a great USB mini-keyboard for iPad apps. However, I've recently been looking for two things: (1) A slightly larger keyboard that can cover more than 25 keys/2 octaves; (2) A keyboard that functions with 5-pin DIN traditional MIDI cables, as well as USB, since my Korg Volcas and some other interfaces/devices only offer 5-pin MIDI connectivity.

The options for finding this under $200 are surprisingly few and far between. The Alesis Q49 (not the new V49, which is USB only) is one example, and I could probably find a used one at Guitar Center for $40 to $50.

However, I came across this product by midiplus, and it seems to fit the bill for about $68:

49 keys, USB and 5-pin MIDI connectivity, choice between 9VDC or USB power, and what look to be decent-ish keys with velocity sensitivity. Moreover, there are only small handful of Amazon reviews, but everyone who has tried it seems to love it.

Anything know anything about this brand? Or can you recommend a better, affordable option for me?
