ipad recording and levels
I really hope someone can help me, I have been at this for hours.I'm using Bias-Amp and when I just play using that app. It plays just finee I have it where the levels do not clip and everything, but when I load a DAW all of a sudden the level is way too hot and clips completely. I have tried turning down the input/output in bias. No lucj it does not lower the level in the daw. I have even tried to lower the slider on that particular channel. Theae programs require the mic so I went in my settings and turned it off but then I got no signal at al,. But it is weird because it requires the mic but yet it is like it is recording direct from bias. So how do i get this signal to lower. I have even tried it in other DAW's but got the same result. Please help and thank you in advance.

Can't understand what it is you're doing. Are you using the built in mic to go to Bias? What is the signal chain, as in, how are you getting it into the DAW. If you have an external mic going through an interface into the lightning connector, the interface normally has some kind of gain control. If you are simply recording a guitar through the iPad mic, how are you routing through bias, into the DAW?
It would also help to know which DAW you're using.
I'm an idiot, it was the volume control on my interface. I just got my first ipad last week so im still learning stuff. What i'm doing is using bias and then hooking up audiobus to rout it thru a da called meteor and right now im testing out different daws to see which one suits my needs best. but i will tell you the pro audio apps blow anything away that a PC has ever tried to do.i'm just so impressed and glad i made the switch
