    Cubasis, AuriaPro Genome

Scalegen will read a midi file and make a scale from it.

  • Gestrument can via the app "scalegen" and transform a midi "tune" into a "scale", not the classic midi import but worth a try

"Midi pro" is my go to, for my midi files manipulation on iOS

Also can't wait for modstep midi import update

  • Good tips, all I'm really after is a little MIDI mangling. Have Scalegen, but it somehow popped out of the music folder and is on a far forgotten screen! Going to try that and still open to hearing about others. Cheers

-> 'Pro Midi' that is and Val 'Klimper' (no midi files though). 'bismark bs16-i' sf-player can as well as 'different drummer', 'jam maestro', 'nlog midi synth'.

Sorry for the misspelling of "pro midi"

Sorry for 'caustic' (; adding 'beatmaker 2' and 'fl studio mobile'.

  • Different Drummer now sports MIDI import but it's forced into the DD grid system so it's not pure but it allows for some cool dynamic, rhythmic and modal variations by applying waves and scales to the MIDI data. You can also just extract the pure rhythm, top end or bass part.
