Takete: External Midi Keyboarad

Am I missing something?

Where is the setting for use of my MIDI external keyboard with this nearly $80 app?

Thank you

    Yep you're missing something.

If you load a sample onto a pad

    Then set instrument to granular

Then set controller to external midi

Then when the pad is playing your midi keyboard will control it

The app really needs a good manual though!!!

The manual (much like Takete) is a work in progress - http://refinedstochastic.com/takete/help.php - any questions that it can't answer, please email me and I'll help you out promptly. It is a deep and complex piece of software so it can be challenging to cover all the possibilities but I do try to address users issues as a priority.

Have a look at this tutorial, you can create a clip that has an "External MIDI" controller instead of "Matrix". This clip can then be used to trigger all the Granular synths currently playing on that channel.

If there's still confusion here, I can do a tutorial illustrating this in the next week or so.
