Virtual outs from Launchpad now that AUM is here ?

@Launchpadforios
Now that we have AUM it would be great to have a virtual out for each of the 8 audio channels in Launchpad, it would enable using clean loops without long trailing effects on within Launchpad, and then adding those effects in AUM, completely removing the issue of looping when you have a long tail, i.e you cannot do it as the tail gets chopped off, it would also enable recording a performance onto multiple tracks for further processing and mixing to master

I'd buy it as an IAP, Anyone else ?

    And 1000000 more!

    In addition to what @AndyPlankton said, separate audio outs would greatly enhance the use of Launchpad as a production tool as you could use it to sketch a multitrack composition by playing loops live. As it stands right now, anything you do in Launchpad gets mixed down into a single master bus.

  • Same for a few other apps as well.

  • ahh now I know what to build into the new app I am working on :)

    Now I'm intrigued

  • Anyone having success with Launchpad's midi sync inside AUM? Trying to sync to AUM's midi control and use Aufx-Dub as an effect in sync and add a beat with Patterning. Patterning catches the tempo but AUM and Dub don't recognize the Tempo. Ableton's Link is off. I must be missing something obvious. Man, are we lucky to have apps like AUM!

  • AUM has no MIDI sync, neither slave nor master. Check out apps like "Link to MIDI" or "MIDI Link Sync" to keep AUM synced to MIDI clock.

    However, for this particular case you can just use Ableton Link to sync AUM and Patterning, then host AUFX:Dub inside AUM and it will automatically sync to the tempo (through IAA host sync).

    I have been using midi sync link app to enable syncing to launchpad master clock and it seems to be working fine, and then for those apps that do support host sync load them in aum, for anything that will not play ball, you can load them in audiobus and use either link or midi sync and route the ab outputs into aum.

  • Message received. We'll dicsuss this tomorrow and see what's possible.

    Oh yeah!

  • Just to get back to you on this, it's actually possible within the app, but we've got some work to make it happen.

    As ever, it's in a list fighting with some other really exciting stuff we've got coming up for you over the next few weeks...stay tuned.
