iElectribe Accents Work Fine, imdum
Figured that I'd post this here, since KORG doesn't seem especially interested (submitted a "bug report," but they're very clear that they won't respond, and there's no human support that I can find). The dynamics in iElectribe's 'accent' feature are configured super poorly, which is probably why none of the presets use them; it's weird that the feature is even there.
By default, every step in iElectribe is accented. If you unaccent every step, the volume dips so dramatically that you can barely hear the beat, but it's still usable, this way, especially if you raise the volume. The thing is, when you mix accented and unaccented beats (you know, the whole point of an 'accent' feature), the accented beats are so overpowering that the unaccented ones become completely muted.
Open an 'init' pattern and take off all of the accents except for Step 1. You'll hear the kick on the downbeat and then a tiny, distant tap (the kick drum) on beats 2, 3, and 4 -- not even enough for a ghost-note. Now, put CLAP SNARE on all sixteen steps but only accent every other step (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15). The missing accents become so negligible that you'll only count 8 snares. Now just accent the main beats (1, 5, 9, 13) and you'll count four snares with only a distant tapping in the background, like a far-off echo.
Annoying! >:o(
[EDIT] @Samu with the lay-up. Thank you, sir. Glad that I didn't send my angry, clown-nose emoticon to KORG, too; I wouldn't want to intimidate them over nothing.

You can control the 'Level' of the accent with the level knob once accent button is selected (all other buttons get greyed out). With accent level all the way down it has no effect on the accented notes. At least that's the way it works on th iPad version, don't have the iPhone vetsion installed at the moment.
Thank god for you, @Samu.
[EDIT] I scoured the manual for this but couldn't find it. Now that I double-checked, it's right there, plain as day. There I go, opening my big mouth!
