Thanks Derek it's working really great on iPhone SE!
Loving it very much, I'll update my App Store review.
So where is everyone with this, just getting ready to download it now.
Downloaded and about to jump in....
LINK works well into Blocs...
BOSS update!
Thx Derek! Nice update
Very tempted, now that Link is supported. Would like to see a manual before I pull the trigger. Went to "Developers Website" from the appstore. And WTF? It's a goddamn Facebook page. Eek.
Well, might nok be that big an issue, I don't know.
Anyway, Is the a manual?
This is the most easiest to use Drum app I have ever used!
1 tap loop
2. Hit play
3. Loop where desired.
4. Make music
That's how simple it is.
Now the midi stuff and settings are simple too but you might need to ask a few questions if you're new to midi.
It feels (to me) like the closest thing to having a sweaty rock drummer in the room on iOS.
It has, probably the best tutorial I've ever used in an app. To get you started. And, it's easy to use.
I was reading reviews for this app, and saw a couple complaining about crashes -- including one from a few days ago on iPad Air. That's what I have, recently upgraded to iOS 10.3. Are these reports representative? My expectation is not that an app will never crash, but crash-y is something I avoid.
I don't have issues on my air 1. I don't think you have much to worry about. Derek is on the forum, him and Blue Mangoo are pretty darn active in developing the app and responding to users.
Not a single crash so far on my air 1 using my favorite drum app, Drum Session.
I haven't had a single crash either on iPad Air 1 latest. If it ever might crash always test which combination of apps will cause it. Then do elimination process to isolate culprit.
I do find the LINK a bit touchy still. Might need a bit of tweaking but then again might be user error.
All in all, serious drumming app!
Sometimes crashes can be because peeps have apps open in the background, little glitches/bugs/hiccups, ipad might just need to be restarted.....Among other things. Not always cuz there is a problem with the app/coding.
Y'all might have noticed I used my least favorite Easter reference above. Those damn peeps. icky they are.
No crashing here (Pro/latest)
I've had several during dragging clips around. Each time I've lost the work I've done since the last save. I don't think it's ever crashed on me while playing. I've never been in the frame of mind to take the time to see if I can find how to reproduce it. I do know I always clear out all background apps as a matter of habit. I just remember to save often.
I haven't tried since the last update. mmyv (my mileage may vary...)
There is something that would make Drum Session perfect for me, to the point of replacing DPP altogether: please make the Drum Pad velocity sensitive (by position, if you please: acellerometer sucks).
Can DrumSession do as good a job of emulating a real drummer as DrumPerfect Pro? The DPP tracks I've heard sound pretty amazing.
