  • I love hardware and every so often I look at some to make me feel good about appware :) Although I do like the notion of going back to apps not used much in the last 12 months (a lot) and imagining them anew...not quite the same, but still. Methadone rather than China White, but my own GP (the Generous Provider) seems in favor...

  • The only thing holding me back is still having an iPhone 5, and the iOS versions are starting to jump ahead. Other than that I'd still budgeting to try out everything I can.

  • A place like this is useful when looking for an app I think I need, but also gives me ideas for stuff I might not have otherwise heard about. I reached a point where I'm ignoring the new and sticking with what I've got---besides updates that come out with more new stuff to learn. Probably not what a developer would want to hear. I still haven't scratched the surface with what I've got. I wish I had every waking hour just to make mobile music.

  • so...a slight slip, i picked up Bilbao for gadget .... back on the wagon now hopefully :D

I like to buy musicapps just to be nice to the hardworking developer...

Some of us has a little more to put on software than other, and we can likely be some sort of mecenats...

For me it´s just over €2000 to my iPads... Cheap entertainment if you compare to others addiction to alcohol...

Despite her other protestations, I'm pretty sure Mrs. Goodyear prefers this addiction to the others I've become engrossed in....

I like buying new apps and getting that buzz for a few hours.

But really, I've found more productivity and fun in:

    • listening to music and picking up on a particular sound or feel
    • or listening to, and understanding, patches on synths I already own
    • then figuring out how to make those types of sounds in Gadget

Recently I discovered the wonderful sounds you can get Pheonix in Gadget to make - and that's kept me off buying new apps for quite a while. Same thing happened with Wolfsburgh and Kiev.

I then go and make tracks in Gadget with those sounds.
