Regarding the battery usage / reboot posts way up ^ there: A quicker, and (seemingly to me) more effective, solution is to:
1. Close all apps
2. Hold down the power button until the power off slider shows, but don't slide it
3. Hold down the home button until you return to the main screen
I've found this clears everything quite nicely and does wonders for battery life. I do it after every session and after playing games.
