Retronyms demo'd a new app tonight, and it's awesome!
They asked me not to Periscope it, but it's a really smart move. I'll just say it's a really accessible way to make live/DJ type sets.
Obviously designed to go hand in hand with WEJ.

If you can't tell us what can you guess when?
not periscope it doesn't mean you can't tell us what it is..... so what is it?

haha...you mean i should trust on the reliability of their stuff in a LIVE situation?
Retronym, app and awesome in the same sentence... LOL :-D
so does anybody know what it is?
i hope this new app wasn't that midi mappable light app, unless it the lights it provides are lights they're using to see what they are doing when fixing the bugs in the impc pro....
No, but the WEJ does have an app that allows you to create all kinds of light shows, kind of like an oscillator light shows. It can sync with ableton link. It's very RadioShack, and if it's not your thing, I can understand why it would seem frivolous.
I grew up in the era of the RadioShack disco balls, so I really like it
i have a radioshack strobe light
so what is the app you spoke of?
I believe that when you buy the WEJ, you can download a free companion control app. That app is used for routing, as well as designing the light show.
It will only work with their own light.
So that's the awesome new app you were teasing us with?
No.
The app is... An app that fixes all their other apps.
Hey, I might buy that.
LOLZ. We had an interesting conversation about TableTop. The topic of bloat came up, combined with the fact that iOS now supports new Aus. They didn't say anything about it, but i wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new strategy some day.
I hope so. I can still get certain things done in Tabletop that I don't seem to elsewhere, but etc etc.
I just want my iProphet fixed. Until then when I see 'retronyms', I look somewhere else.
+1. I actually downloaded the VS manual, and also bookmarked some videos on my pearl trees site.never having had the physical version, I really like it.
My understanding is that some of the issues have to do with the underlying source code that they ported that they cannot alter. Or, if they alter it, and break something else. Or something like that I remember having this conversation with one of them.
A lot of finger-pointing to be sure, but supposedly arturia code is not 100% clean, or difficult to port 100% iPad. I don't think it's necessarily anyone's fault, it's what happens when you port from one platform to another.
