Scythe is sick – going bonkers – haQ attaQ 126
Scythe by BurgerKone is not a new app. This awesome synthesizer was published on the AppStore in July 2011, and back then it was named GrainBender!
I really don’t have much more to write, nor do I need to. The video pretty much shows what I think of it. Scythe is simply a killer synthesizer!

Yeah, that bending is one dope feature.
I downloaded the (free) VST version to check it out.

Would have loved to have a 'line-draw' feature for the blend-stuff for more control though
F%#*in nuts!
Love haq and the synth
Bought it!
Top Banana!...... Bought.....
Love it - tried it out one day after buying and not really using it and thought "where have you been hiding?".
Thanks @jakoB_haQ, great to see this synth getting the love. It's very special and has very broad applications as you show.
Tim Webb did a tutorial and review when it was still Grainbender, it ships with a few of his presets - here's a link to the discchord page with his review and video http://discchord.com/blog/2014/8/13/grainbender-demo-tutorial.html
I've had this synth since it was GrainBender and slept on it so hard I didn't realize that it had changed names Or (more importantly) how great it really is until @jakoB_haQ - all with a flick of that Bend tab switch - alerted me to Get On It.
My first preset sounds like bass shaking a tin roof. Life is good.
Thanks for the heads up, skipped on grainbender way back when & didn't know about the name change or realise what a chunky little synth this was.
I know, it's an old thread, sorry
But if you deleted the app from your iPad because of the never solved audio problems (distorted sound),
you probably won't realize that the first update after 5 years was released yesterday.
Unfortunately still only IAA, no auv3.
Was free from December 2017 until yesterday, now €5.99 (in Germany)

I re-downloaded it and it’s still noisy. I could see how there might be instances where this would 100% work for a particular sound. I generally prefer a clean sound, but maybe I’ll mess around with this one again just to see what I can get out of it.
