This is my homage to prog/pomp rock. It contains many prog cliches
It is also my first use of Yonac's Gallileo organ app. Other apps used include Thumbjam for the Mellotron, JamUp Pro for my guitar and the built in Rock Kit and Picked Bass from Cubasis.

Can't be Prog, it's only 3 1/2 minutes long! Just joking, a great take on this genre.
Sounds more like a blend of Moody Blues and Simon Dupree and the Big Sound than anything I would call prog rock, but it does do that blend quite well.
Thanks, guys!
@PhilW: lol, yes, I was running out of minutes on my free Soundcloud account (but just gone Pro now!). So I guess you could call it Prog for the Fast Food generation?
@PaulB: Yes, not very rocky perhaps but I just wanted to get that late 60s early 70s Non-Chartpop vibe - and have an excuse to use a Mellotron sound
Nice one @AlterEgo_UK. I didn't even realize there was a mellotron in TJ. Gotta take a look sat that!
@AlterEgo_UK I think you definitely nailed what you describe. Sort of psychadelic proto prog.
Spookily, later today I heard Kites played on the radio, which was the 60s Simon Dupree track I had in mind.
I saw Kites performed by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown last month - it was a great version! And I only just found out that the people behind Simon Dupre went on to form Gentle Giant!
Yes they diid. They also had a certain Reg Dwight as their keyboard player for their last UK tour. Apparently, he played them a few of his songs and they all told him they were shit. Lol.
As a refugee from the 60's, thanks for the memories!
@funjunkie: I thik the Mellotron is from Galileo, but played using TJ as the surface.
I really like the vocals.
Would be nice to remix them
Galileo really does the track justice and sounds very nice.
You must be the most active producer on here....Soundcloud is brimming with tracks .. I'm so jealous.
@dwarman Thumbjam has mellotron samples.
Thanks, @dwarman
@funjunkie: The mellotron was directly from Thumbjam, played from my little midi keyboard (Akai LPK25). Gallileo provided the organ sound.
@DaveMagoo: the vocals were right on the border of my natural register and falsetto! Let me know what you need if you really want to try a remix
I happened to be off work last week so had plenty of time for new tracks, so my output is likely to slow down again somewhat for now
...except for this quickie soundscape done with Waldorf Nave!
@PaulB, I shoulda looked before opening my big keyboard
