holy cow, that's cheap! everyone should jump on this, fantastic synth full of character, even if you're not into the tracker interface. works great controlled via MIDI.

absolutely love this app, hope to see a few updates for it some day. (Link, wav export, 6581 emu, etc)

  • Is it really really chippy though? That was what saved me from buying it previously....

what do you mean? makes some killer "normal" synth sounds, if that's what you're asking. huge bass, nice leads, pads, all that. can also get as "chippy" as you'd like. very versatile synth.

It is a very close emulation of the 8580 SID. And that's a chip.

Thanks Daniel. But there must be some fairy godmother involvement (trying to save me from myself :)) because I DID just try and buy it but got the old 'this app is being modified, please try again later' message :)

Yes, we heard some users got this error. It seems like there is something with the App Store and currency conversion when prices are changed.
Could you please try again later and tell us how it went?

I will and I give you a manly upnod in appreciation of your elegant sales technique :)

  • Another app bites my hand off :s

  • two questions 1. does it have both midi in/out, and 2. how long can a pattern be?

  • Being modified. Hope I didn't miss it. If it was that short, there will be more unhappy people than happy people.

  • I should have said 3, sooo 3. what are the audio export options like?

  • Score! Been waiting for this one to go on sale. :-)

  • @DanielLarsson Still no luck...

...actually, all of the usual bullshit to one side, that does suck for a dev. You put it on sale and tell folks, but then their perhaps passing instinct to buy is forestalled by a SNAFU.

  • No problem to buy it from Spanish Store...Thanks for the heads-up!!! Kung-Fury!!!

  • Just bought it.

  • I effing bought this thing! I've had it for 10 seconds and it looks cool! But like I said I've only had it 10 seconds.

  • No dice in Loserville.

.aac Send it to audioshare is really easy and is m4a mono file.

  • You can send it to dropbox or email too didnt test it but the options are in the export menu

  • thanks Aphex, do you like it?

  • worked for me a few minutes ago. what a bargain. thank you, from someone who is not a big chiptuner, but very curious.

Yep for that price is good not a lot of sounds but is ok and is easy to understand i never like tracker but this one is really easy to understand and you can edit the sounds easily.

    I HAVE BEEN REDEEMED BROTHERS!

Erm. Well, no, they finally redeemed my buck ninety-nine and I no longer feel shaky with nothing else to do tonight but count the enormous black scarabs eating my skin from the inside, but it's all numbers and boxes and a bit odd looking for anyone who thought an Amiga was a female friend etc....

    1. Nope, only midi in. I\m sure you would not love it as your centerpiece sequencer.
    2. 128 steps

Check out some live midi use here:

Liking this app, awesome sounds, but it seriously needs State Saving and better MIDI implementation would be useful. Haven't had to boot up Midibridge in a while!

  • Dunno if I should buy this , already have all the Korg apps which can do a similar thing lol

  • I was under the impression that this synth only did the 80's 8-bit noise stuff. Which is very cool indeed. But...To my surprise it also has lots of sounds that are, not this way as well. Cool synth!

  • This is just a superb example of what can be done and well, Jason Page is the ruling 'King of SIdTracker 64' for now.

Imagine what could have been done back in the days if this kind of tool was available :D

  • That is crazy! Really great stuff, and showcases the app well.
