Figure/ikaossilator type apps
Any others in this category that you could potentially make full songs with provided you weren't too concerned about proper mixing and extensive sound design? I'm growing more and more fond of these types beCause of their limitations and simplicity and the fact that they generally sound pretty good. Hope to see more of them in the future.

I fan think of:
Triq traq
BleepBox
iDs10
Wejam
Elastic drum
Oscilab
Pepp
Egoist
What about anything that rivals the simplicity of the ikaossilator interface? I see figure as being second to that.
Triq traq
I wish ikaossilator had both midi in and out
Pepp and wejam are simple.
can you even play parts in in pepp? I tried it once and it seemed i was only able to tweak premade loops.
If you don't mind spending a bit more than the apps listed by pierre, KORG Gadget is the best "all-in-one" app available for iOS, in my view.
You're right, you can't input your own melody (pitch), there is some kind of rhythmic sequencer though and you can change the scale.
Korg gadget
Triqraq
Figure (duh)
Zilladrone
Oscillab
Yellowfier
And to some extent:
Protein der klang
bip (under rated!!!!!!)
Old school:
bleep box
doppler pad
rhythm
Auxy
Yeah, Auxy iPhone is great to make nice quick jams!
Auxy would be great if it had a figure/ikaossilator like note input...or at least a keyboard.
Not sure if** Earhoof** would fit into this cat. It's a crazy app. Fun to play too.....
Or, maybe** Gestrument**?
Earhoof ++
Dot Melody is a cool little app. Would be nice if it got link.
Yep - I prefer the iphone one TBH. It's limited in its sounds - but it's great for making a complete track "in the app". I did this in a few hours - messing with filters and different clips etc. live:
And then if you want to - you can save all of the midi out and go and work the track up more in something like MTS or Auria (or a desktop DAW).
I emailed the Auxy people once. They have no plans for a playing surface. Apparently live note input on a scale locked keyboard is too much for their audience to handle.
Sigh. If Korg would update ikaossilator with the features people have been asking for since the day it came out, it would be the centerpiece of my workflow. Now it's like I open it up, have a blast for an hour, then get frustrated dreaming of what it could become.
lol
What about Reactable?
Sounds like my autobiography.
