connecting iPad pro to daw music io or audio muxx vs iconectivity audio pass thru?
hi all its trey again.
For connecting an iPad pro to a daw what would you guys recommend?
i'm thinking of getting an i connectivity product so i can have my iPad pro show up as a device for midi and audio in reaper.
However I know some people are using audio muxx or music io.
so which option is better and why? also what are the pitfalls and advantages and dissatvanteges of both options?
your help with these questions would be really cool respect from trey.

If you are running on OSX El Capitan you just plug in the iPad Pro via the Lightning to USB cable and activated it in the Audio Device Settings. You have Stereo In's available now for your DAW software.
Cool thanks man I'm running Windows 7 64-bit What's the best option for that?
I've been using studiomux for a while, ditched my ICM a while back as its far too much hassle
I agree, Studiomux can save you the investment in an audio/MIDI interface. But I still use interfaces for iPad. I use both options.
I share much the same curiosity as OP.
I've read reviews of StudioMux and MusicIO, however, in the time since those reviews were written, there have been numerous updates to both. Is either clearly better than the other at this point?
I don't think so. Both are very good, with slightly different workflow.
Do you find one has a more efficient workflow? Or are the differences in workflow minor?
Thanks.
