Sorry not strictly AB related; iTrack Dock question
Hey everyone! Not really about AB but this is the most active place with iOS musicians I know so thought I'd ask here I've been thinking about getting the iTrack Dock for some time now and I have a couple of quick questions;
I've read conflicting reports about the ability to charge an Air 2 and use any kind of interface at the same time. Can anyone confirm that this is possible?
Also, a friend of mine works at Focusrite and suggested that I hold off until there's an iOS update as 9.2.1 has done some weird things to audio performance. Again, can anyone else support this or are you all getting on fine?
Cheers! Again, sorry for the non AB post.

I own an iTrack Dock and it charges my Air2 just fine. It just doesn't fit properly, so you will need to take care with inserting and removing the Air2. My Mini2 fits fine, but is designed for it and the iPad 2-4(?)
It's a great interface for one instrument (my bass guitar)/mic, a second mic, one USB slot (with USB hub compatibility) (Launchpad, Launchcontrol, Impulse49)
I've had the iTrack dock for a little over a year. I also used it with my Air2. As @fauxen said, it works fine to charge the iPad. I do have some sporadic glitches and weird stuff at times. I guess the strange thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. I know that IOS 9.2.1 gets a bad (well deserved) rap for this. Hopefully apple will firure this out in their new version. I have since gotten an iPad Pro so unfortunately it doesn't fit into the Dock. I've been in touch with focusrite to see if an adapter would work. Their findings were that a female to male adapter cable would work but it doesn't seem to charge the iPad. I now have an iConnectaudio4 that works well with the Pro (and Air2) but still have some problems with audio glitches.
I use the CableJive dock xtender cable with the iTrack dock and the iPad Pro. Works fine and charges the pro. The 6ft version, got it from Amazon, gives me the freedom the move the Pro where I want it and keep the dock in place connected to the power, monitors, phones, keyboard, mic(s), and guitar.
Good to know. Thanks! Interesting that focusrite didn't figure that out. Although not all cables are created equal.
Although Itrack dock has a lot of connectivity options and it's a sturdy device, sometimes on my ipad 4th gen makes crackles through the inputs and it needs to turn on/off many times till the proper quality comes through my monitors.
When I have it connected with my nord electro 3 and AB opened it makes crackles through the inputs, most of the time, so this is a big disappointment as I would like to use it in a live situation, not only to just record my music on the ipad.
