Där ön slutar – Live performance – Nordic Scale

Där ön slutar is Swedish and means where the island ends. A live performance with me singing through Harmony Voice by VirSyn and playing live on Figure by Propellerhead Software!

  • That's some solid Nordic vibes, great preformance! I'd love to see some urskog, vildrå and giant flugsvampar as a video :) Do you have any more music we can listen to where you sing?

  • Fantastic track @jakoB_haQ ! I also love the earbuds-under-the-headphones trick. Brilliant!

  • Very nice @jakoB_haQ , made me think of the opening song from the Vikings series...

    Thanks for sharing

  • @Segerfalk well yes but I'm not really a good singer. There are actually a few episodes where I'm singing. All different styles.

There is an episode where I'm singing an old Swedish lullaby:

Another fun episode is the one where I made a western animation. I sing there too.

I did an episode where I'm using looper sonic. I sing in that one.

I also did this episode ages back:

  • @TGiG Haha! Yeah, you have to get creative sometimes. I was recording the singing and Figure independentl. I then moved the recording from Figure over AirDrop to my iPad and Cubasis where I mixed the two waves together. =D

  • @soundklinik Thank you! I like be that series! =D

  • Why so sceptic at the end jakob? Like it.

    Greetz from görmanee

  • @obiwahnkentobi LoL! =D

Oh, I'm thinking if I'm always sceptical of myself, I'll never feel too comfortable in my musi. That way, I'll always try to find ways of bettering what I do. Well something like that. =D

  • Know what you mean :-)
The problem of Art to Find a personal balance between objectiv/subjectiv, ego/altro

    I Like your art!

  • Really nice!

  • @jakoB_haQ, that's excellent. Something different, love the simplicity along with the sounds. Very much enjoyed that.

  • @jakoB_haQ love that vibe!
    Very Viking.
Which preset did you use on Harmony Voice? One of your own? Was that a single vocal track or overdubbed?

  • edited March 2016

@AlterEgo_UK I was using a preset of my own design. No overdub, just one vocal track all done live.

Harmony: Follow key > Key Harmony

    SOPRANO:
    Gender 60% - Pan 50% - Tune +5
    Mix (blue circle): full

    ALTO:
    Gender 69% - Pan 100% - Tune +0
Mix (blue circle): about 75% (see picture)

    TONER:
    Gender 50% - Pan 70% - Tune +8
    Mix (blue circle): full

    BASS:
    Gender 0% - Pan 0% - Tune +0
    Mix (blue circle): full

Effect versus my voice blend (Dry/Wet) around 50%
    Mix (blue circle): full

Since I know nothing about chords and stuff, I'm playing (locked down a chord using hold function) something in C minor...I think. I've included a picture!

  • Thanks for that, @jakoB_haQ !
    It sounds really impressive.
