  • Everest, that is

    From this update's description:

Resolved issue where some devices, by default, would not allow headphone jack output channels to be used in addition to a device connected to the lightning/dock connector.

Does this mean what I think it means? Using of built in output in parallel to the interface? I didn't think that was possible in iOS.

  • Bought it. Regretted it. Put it away and have always hoped it would come roaring back...

You just bought it and shelved it or is this the roaring return?

Sorry, poor clarity on my part.

Bought it the day it came out. Put it away the next day. Have been hoping it would make The Great Leap Forward. Bets on horses, I guess. Some of them have got to come in...

  • Gotcha, thanks!

  • Hey, so no one is bothered by that simultaneous outs business? That could mean that even by using a silly interface like behrnger uca 222 one could achieve 4 outs without the need to plug into a wall socket.

Having said that, ever since I've stop questing for the fairly utopian idea of busking with the iPad it doesn't really matter that much to me anymore.

  • Yea im not sure of the strengths of this looper? Looks pretty, whats the hot biz with it?

  • 4 independent loopers. Just drag and highlight any section of audio to loop on any of the tracks. The selection loops as you drag and resize too

  • Hmmmm. Just dragged four pieces of cello in and started to fiddle and it does catch the interest, like the insta-reverse and all. Other loop manipulation functions that are not clear, but interesting enough that I wish they were. Need to find a tute.

Curious if you ever found a tutorial? Loopy isn't playing nice and I need something a little more automatic than Samplr

  • Thanks, need these too.

Pretty sure @ChristianRober is a member here.

  • I'd be interested to add this to my collection as well. But I just bought quantiloop for 9,99€. And Doug's demo wasn't very convincing for this one. But definitely has it's advantages. One of the few ones that can do portrait mode too. I wonder if it can do split screen view as well. The MIDI part looks like all controls have fixed values. I'd much prefer MIDI Learn here.

  • Whole lotta loopin goin on on IOS

  • A couple really nice updates happened with this one in the last few. Custom button groups (choose which commands you need for the loops) and pitching the loops with a little onscreen keyboard is really cool. The windowing thing is really slick too, you can play little sections and move the window around, and when you let go, it goes back to playing in sync with the other tracks.
Only drawback is for practical reasons, it can't slave its midi clock to another app. It does work well as the master, though.

Thanks for laying this out. I did get Everest when it first appeared, but wasn't too bothered, seemed nascent. Will go back and have another fiddle.

    I think it needs
    1. Ableton LINK
    2. MIDI Learn
    3. a way to move the start point without changing loop length
    4. a function to snap the selection to 1/4, 1/8, 1/8 triplets, 1/16 etc

    Any chance for that, @ChristianRober?

  • I kinda want this app, I have loopy and looper sonic already, does this do anything I can't do with those two? I mainly loop beatboxing

  • Went ahead and got this. With this, blocs wave, loopy and loopersonic I believe I have all my looping bases covered.

Doesn't look like he's very active here, unfortunately.
