Looks like nice 303/808 combination

  • I've been eyeing this bundle for literally a month. it's a great value. i just don't know that i would use personally.

if it floats your boat, it's an instabuy to me, especially considering it is link enabled.

  • First 5 min.. Where the hell can i set less than 32 steps?
It has nice iaa fx per instrument

  • Please, anyone who understand the browser (new project, save project, templates management), please, help!!!

:o It's a mystery to me! Can't find any documentation on it!!

+1, there is no help in the documentation, it doesn't even mention saving projects/templates/files .

  • edited March 2016

To make a new file press the + above the templates

In the projects tab slide left to rename it

Clicking on any template will duplicate that template as a project for you to edit

    You can then rename it

I never found a way to change from 32 steps.

  • Another tip for MoDrum (which might be obvious but wasn't to me): The Accents ("AC") just above kick ("BD") in the instrument column) are preset to eighth notes when a New pattern is created.

When I start a new project I turn all Accents off (or all on) then use them selectively.

MoDrum is quirky as heck but damn if it's not a good time and worth having.

  • Thanks, @BiancaNeve.
But if I go to "Project", then press "+" and "New" and then press on an empty space, I start from scratch and, when I get some notes, back to the browser and everything is empty...I don't get how to save it.
Again, when I choose a templare, I see on the screen that has been loaded but, no mention of his name in the browser field, wich is weird.

  • We might invite a dev here, ha?

  • @fjcblanco When you create a New project it becomes 'untitled' under Projects on the left side of screen - click/hold/drag 'untitled' to the left and you get the option to Delete or Rename. (I remember scratching my head over this too).

  • I have Modrum and iSpark as my only (current) drum devices and I'm quite happy. I wish Modrum responded to transport controls as does iSpark.

  • Probably you don't believe me, but it took me several tries before "untitled" appeared. Thanks, @Proppa.

  • ^ thanks, easy when you know how

    True!

  • In MoDrum, if Link is enabled , but not connected to any other apps, a bounced loop is exported at 120bpm even if the project is running at 128bpm. Have I missed a setting somewhere? If Link is then disabled, the loop exports at the correct project tempo. Is there a way around this without having to disable Link? Thanks

  • I have a mixed feelings :-(

I don't, I simply can't stand them...considering the quality of apps available...these 2 are just horrible...sound wise and looks...only reason I got them was for Link...no IAA either

  • BassLine and MoDrum is placed in just every Link related demo video, i thought it is a stellar app, tho...

That sounds related to the issue with iSpark where you can't set BPM properly with Link enabled but not to another app.

  • These apps are best used SEPERATE in my opinion.

They both have magnetic SYNC qualities for me. But when used together it is like too many alpha personalities in one place.....................

These apps are staples for me. If not anything, the IPHONE.

MoDrums tip for DROPS: Let beat play with Bass DRUM muted, as normal then slide the DELAY all the way up hit the stop button, UNMUTE the KICK and remove delay and hit play.

Do this and tell me the sound is not pretty good?

It takes a while to get tweaks of the drums right and get the "new" concept with saving shit.

    Give it time.

Plus, you can load a bass loop in MO DRUMS top row and have a bassline and beat with very low CPU and LINK?

    Just my opinions
